Despite recent protestations to the contrary, Sarah Palin is blowing smoke and has no intention of running for president in 2012—at least, according to Fox News Sunday host Chris Wallace, who called the former gov on her intentions today. Palin is "having too much fun" and "making too much money" to toss her hat in the ring, said Wallace, concluding, "I don't think you'll run." Nonsense, responded Palin, "If the country needed me, and I’m not saying it does…I’d be willing to sacrifice." Elsewhere in the at-times combative interview, as per Politico:

  • As for Karl Rove's assertion that she lacks presidential "gravitas" because of her appearance on a reality show: "Karl is wrong. I’m not in a reality show. I have eight episodes documenting Alaska’s resources…and my family comes along because I am family."
  • Palin says she has video of "corrupt bastards" in the media conspiring to portray Joe Miller negatively: "CBS reporters are on tape saying 'let’s find a child molester in the crowd that supports Miller,'" says Palin, adding she "can't wait" to air the video.
  • Voters are mad as hell and marching to the polls Tuesday to send a message, says Palin: "You blew it, President Obama. We gave you the two years to fulfill your promise of making sure that our economy starts roaring back to life again."
