College basketball's #5 Georgetown delivered an eyepopping first half against Michigan, posting the game's first 12 points and 11 rebounds; the halftime score was 43-19. The Hoyas shot the lights out (6 of their first 8 on three-pointers) and strangled the Wolverines with signature stingy defense. In other college hoops rout action:

  • No. 19 Pittsburgh stomped MIssissippi Valley State, 78-45, holding its opponent to 26% shooting.
  • Freshman J.J. Hickson notched 31, hitting all twelve of his shots, as No. 21 NC State throttled William & Mary.
  • No. 18 Arkansas trounced College of Charleston, 75-49, in Puerto Rico.
