Golden State put a halt to a three-game Nuggets win streak with a 105-95 performance that starred Baron Davis with 28 points and Stephen Jackson with 23. Denver looked poised to come back from behind in the third quarter, but a cold game from Allen Iverson and hot Warriors' shooting sealed the result.  In other year-end NBA action:

  • Tony Parker and Tim Duncan contributed 24 points each to San Antonio's 111-87 blowout win against Memphis, with Michael Finley adding another 22.
  • Phoenix handily beat Sacramento 117-102, as Amare Stoudemire's 31 points and 17 rebounds eclipsed Francisco Garcia's 30-point effort for the Kings
