Just when you thought the Dennis Rodman-Kim Jong Un relationship couldn't possibly get any weirder ... now they're planning a vacation together, AFP reports. "I don't condone what he does, but he's my friend," Rodman said in a bizarre, rambling interview with KXJB yesterday. So will the basketball star be returning to North Korea, then? "Yes, I will. In August. I'm vacationing with him." Er, as long as Kim isn't too busy waging nuclear war by then, we presume.

But Rodman's diplomatic ambitions are not limited to North Korea: He's en route to Rome today, TMZ reports. He says his "people" have been in touch with the Vatican because he'd like to meet with the next pope in an attempt to fix all the Catholic Church's problems. "I want to be anywhere in the world that I'm needed," Rodman explains. "I want to spread a message of peace and love throughout the world." Apparently not everyone thinks Rodman is "needed": Asked last week if Rodman might become an official ambassador to North Korea, a US State Department spokesperson said, "I'm not even sure I can dignify that with a response."
