Once again, things got very graphic today at the Oscar Pistorius murder trial—and once again, the athlete threw up. This time, it was pictures of Reeva Steenkamp's head after she was shot that prompted the vomiting, the BBC reports. Police commander Schoombie van Rensburg described his arrival at the athlete's house following Steenkamp's death, the Telegraph reports. With paramedics on the scene and Steenkamp declared dead, "the body was covered with towels and black bags," van Rensburg said.

Pistorius, who was in the kitchen, "was very emotional at that stage, and then I asked him what happened. He didn't answer. He was in tears." Van Rensburg added that Carice Stander, the daughter of the property manager, said Pistorius had called her and her father for help taking Steenkamp to the hospital. Stander and Pistorius had used the bags and towels to stop the blood, she said. The commander described following "the trail of blood up the stairs," where the bathroom door was locked. Photos showed a cricket bat and still-cocked gun on the scene, CNN reports. (More Oscar Pistorius stories.)
