Worker's Body Found in Ohio Pub's Walk-In Cooler
Police are investigating an employee death at Molly Malone's Irish Pub & Restaurant in Cincinnati.   (Molly Malone’s)

An employee was found dead in a walk-in cooler at a restaurant in a Cincinnati neighborhood. Police say they responded to Molly Malone's Irish Pub & Restaurant on Monday morning after a fellow employee found the man's body. The man had worked at the restaurant and pub in the Pleasant Ridge neighborhood Sunday night and appeared to have been in the cooler overnight. Police say the employee was in his 20s and did not appear to have been locked in the cooler. The cause of death wasn't immediately determined, reports the AP, and police say the investigation is ongoing.

"At this time, we don't suspect really anything, but we can't provide any additional information until we determine the cause," says Cincinnati Police Sgt. Michael Bell, per WCPO; Bell added that nothing was missing from the pub and there were no signs of struggle. "The first thing is to make sure his family is aware of what is going on," he says, "but just want to make sure that there's no foul play or anything we need to overlook." The restaurant was closed Monday and a Cincinnati environmental health director says the restaurant is discarding any food that was in the cooler. (More Cincinnati stories.)
