The makers of a novelty kid purse are suing to retain the name "Pooey Puitton." Per NBC News, the company MGA says its toy--a carrier for powders that can be mixed with water to create various colored slimes--is meant to "criticize or comment upon the rich and famous, the Louis Vuitton name, the LV marks, and on their conspicuous consumption" and should be protected as parody. The complaint was filed in a Los Angeles court on Friday, but Louis Vuitton maker LVMH Moet Hennessy has not commented on the suit, nor was it clear what prompted MGA to file it. Per Reuters, the Pooey Puitton purse retails for $59.99. (In November the Girl Scouts of America sued to force the Boy Scouts to keep the word "boy" in their name.)
