Kylie Jenner was the queen of Instagram—until somebody hatched a plan to dethrone her. The social media platform's most-liked post is now a photo of a plain brown egg, posted by the "world_record_egg" account Jan. 5 with the stated intent of setting a world record and overtaking Jenner for the most popular post, CNET reports. She held the record with 18 million likes with a February 2018 photo of newborn daughter Stormi gripping her thumb, but by early Monday, the egg had eclipsed that record with more than 26.5 million likes, making it the only non-human in Instagram's top 20.

The egg account celebrated the achievement after millions of new likes put it over the top, writing "This is madness. What a time to be alive." "It doesn't end here though, we're just getting started," promised the "Egg Gang." Jenner—who has 123 million followers, compared to 2.5 million for world_record_egg—fired back at the egg in another Instagram post Sunday night, E! Online reports. She shared a video of herself, titled "Kylie when she see's (sic) the world record egg account," in which she cracks an egg on hot asphalt and watches it bubble. "Take that little egg," the caption says. (Last year, a message from Jenner briefly wiped $1.3 billion off Snapchat's value.)
