Judge Issues Bad News to Saints Fans

Sorry, Saints fans: A federal judge on Thursday rejected a "Hail Mary" lawsuit attempting to force a do-over of the New Orleans team's NFC championship game against the Los Angeles Rams. Two season ticketholders were seeking a court order forcing the NFL to implement a rule allowing Commissioner Roger Goodell to reverse the result of a game or reschedule it (entirely or partially) due to "extraordinarily unfair acts." The act, of course, being the "worst no-call in NFL history," which possibly cost the Saints the game. It's not clear yet whether the judge's ruling against the ticketholders will be appealed, the AP reports, but the Rams are, of course, scheduled to play against the New England Patriots Sunday in the Super Bowl. (A TV producer got himself fired over a little joke about the big game.)
