County maintenance workers found a young girl's body stuffed inside a duffel bag last week along a hiking trail in LA's Hacienda Heights community. On Sunday, the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department said she has been identified as 9-year-old Trinity Love Jones, the LA Times reports. Police are still investigating the circumstances of her death, which has been ruled a homicide, and they have not publicly commented on how she died, though they have said there were no obvious signs of trauma. But two people of interest who may be connected to the case have been detained, the sheriff's department said Sunday night.

"Words can't explain what I'm feeling right now," the girl's father tells KTLA. "I just want answers. I just want justice. She was just the best. Full of character, full of life, full of joy." Police say anyone with information can submit tips anonymously via LA Regional Crime Stoppers by calling 800-222-8477. Authorities expect more information to be released at a press conference later this week. (A woman's body was found in a suitcase last month.)
