She's young, smart, funny and 'equally interesting and irritating'

Get ready to hear the name SE Cupp a lot, writes Kate Harding. She's "one of the latest young, white conservative women to make a career of saying inflammatory things while looking really pretty." Cupp, though, who has a diary on Tucker Carlson's new Daily Caller, seems to be the real deal: "She is indeed smarter and more interesting than your average conservative pundit," writes Harding at Salon.

Cupp is a good writer, and she's both charming and funny, but it's her "contradictions" that make her "equally interesting and irritating," says Harding. She's an atheist, for example, who's not above writing a book titled Losing Our Religion: The Liberal Media's Attack on Christianity. "So yeah, she's basically just another Ann Coulter in someone sort of interesting's clothing. But for better or worse, it looks like she's here to stay." (More SE Cupp stories.)
