Jon Stewart went on a rant last night ostensibly related to Fox News’ insistence that we should never blame George W. Bush for anything, but it took a few turns along the way. He even threw in a line acknowledging Jezebel’s recent take-down of his show: “Jezebel thinks I’m a sexist prick!” He went on to lampoon a not-quite-with-it Rep. John Carter, who compared the “blame Bush” game to the “Kevin Bacon” game.

Carter’s description of the game: “No matter what actor or movie you attach, you gotta bring it back in seven cycles to Kevin Bacon.” Stewart pointed out that he doesn’t need “seven cycles” to connect the oil spill to Bush: “I don’t even need six degrees, which is the actual way you play the Kevin Bacon game,” he said, before connecting the spill to Bush...and all the way to, yes, Kevin Bacon “in only five cycles.”
