3. Hay-Adams, Washington D.C.: The ghost of Marian Adams, wife of a descendant of John Adams, has haunted this luxe hotel since her 1885 suicide.
4. Stanley Hotel, Estes Park, Colo.: Watch out for the phantom children playing on the fourth floor of the shooting location for Stanley Kubrick's The Shining.
