Frito-Lay tried to go green, it really did, but that compostable Sun Chips bag was just too darn loud. The biodegradable bag, made from plant material, made more of a splash for its ridiculous volume than it did for its ability to be recycled, and has been compared to a lawnmower and a jet engine, among other things. Just 18 months after being launched, it’s getting pulled from five of the six Sun Chips flavors, USA Today reports.

“Clearly, we'd received consumer feedback that it was noisy,” says a spokesperson, who adds that “we are on a journey with compostable packaging.” While the company works to find a quiet, yet still eco-friendly, solution, you can still experience the noisy bag by buying Sun Chips sixth flavor, Original. Or if you’d rather just have it demonstrated for you on video, click here to watch and listen.
