(AP Photo/Tony Avelar, File) Brett Favre broke down in tears as he apologized to teammates for the “distraction” of his lewd text message scandal. He “was very emotional” and asked his team to “carry” him through the game, Vikings teammate Ryan Longwell told Michelle Tafoya of ESPN’s SportsCenter. Favre is accused of sexually harassing former New York Jets employee Jenn Sterger, as well as a former Jets masseuse. Longwell also played with Favre on the Green Bay Packers from 1997 to 2005, Pro Football Talk reports. Also on ESPN, Chris Mortensen reported that Sterger has not decided whether to cooperate with the NFL investigation into Favre’s behavior—and if she doesn’t, “it’s very unlikely that Favre would be disciplined,” he said.
