New York based Sooloos is producing a digital music system for the most discerning consumers, those who want a totally digitized music system but don't want to sacrifice any audio quality. Starting at $12,900, their fanless Sooloos system speedily accesses a vast hard drive that can accommodate an uncompressed music collection of—to start—12,000 albums.

The unit features a touch screen console where one peruses the actual album covers, and multi-room audio capability. Sooloos CEO Enno Vandermeer got the idea for the Sooloos system when he was working with friends who wanted to digitize huge libraries and were running up against the dual limits of hard drive space and inferior commercial PC audio components.
