(AP Photo/Kathy Kmonicek) Once upon a time, the rent was too damn high, but now the Democrats are just too damn sucky for Jimmy McMillan. The colorful onetime gubernatorial candidate is now a registered Republican, he tells Sal Gentile of PBS, mostly because "the Democratic Party sucked." And he's expanding his platform with a new slogan: "The deficit is too damn high." Other McMillan gems: On what he brings to the table: Since 1995, “the Republicans have been in office, they just don’t know what to do. But I do. And I’m going to help them.” On his chances at the GOP presidential nod in 2012: “We may get nominated by the Republican Party. We’re the strongest person right now in the race.” On President Obama: “I want him to talk about how we’re going to reduce the deficit and create jobs. Remember when the president said ‘change is coming to America?’ But what he didn’t say is ‘spare change.’” Ba-dum-bum. Read These Next New York Times ranks the best movies of the 21st century.
