No. 18 Arkansas Falls on Road to Providence

Providence, aided by 32 Razorback turnovers, never trailed and ran away from Arkansas 67-51 in the Puerto Rico Tip-Off Tournament last night, reports the AP. Brian McKenzie led the Friars with 18 points, while Geoffrey McDermott added 15. Arkansas was coming off a 26-point thrashing of the College of Charleston. In other NCAA hoops action Friday:

  • Chris Douglas-Roberts scored a career-high 33 points as Memphis won the 2K Sports College Hoops Classic title over UConn, 81-70.
  • Tennessee topped Prairie View A&M 89-75, despite being outrebounded and going 21-47 from the foul line.
  • Freshman Donte Green's 25 points and nine rebounds led No. 25 Syracuse over Fordham at the Carrier Dome.
