The Sonics have now dropped 12 of 14 games, tying a team-worst season start and contrasting painfully with San Antonio's best-ever 12-2 record. There were moments in last night's 116-101 loss when Seattle seemed poised to take control, but the veteran Spurs were too much for the scrappy Sonics, the AP reports. In other NBA arenas:

  • LeBron James surged to his second straight triple-double, with 30 points, 11 rebounds, and 10 assists. His inspired team hit 13 three-pointers in Cleveland's 111-106 win over Indiana.
  • The Lakers lost a 14-point lead—and their third consecutive game—to New Jersey as Richard Jefferson bagged 27 points while Kobe Bryant shot just 7-for-21.
