Her eyesight failing her, a 93-year-old woman is quitting the road—which means her 1964 Mercury could be yours. It's got 576,000 miles on it, but it seems to have served Rachel Veitch well: She's the only person ever to have owned it, Fox News reports. The car cost her $3,289 when she bought it; after 18 batteries and eight mufflers, it's been appraised at some $12,000.
How has she kept it running through three marriages? Passionate care, Fox News notes. "When I buy gas, I write down the mileage, the date, and how many miles per gallon I got," she says. "I've never been a destructive person and I've just taken care of everything, except my husbands." That passion earned her an appearance on the Tonight Show in 2010. "I haven't talked to Jay Leno yet, but I'm wondering if he's interested," she says. (In other awesome car news, a $279,000 flying car has completed its first flight.)
