The online futures site offers odds on various contenders, and the Daily Beast takes a look at the top five: Marco Rubio, 24.9%. The Florida senator is a Cuban-American who's hugely popular among conservatives in the swing state. On the downside, he has only two years' experience and was at one time a Mormon, which may worry evangelicals. Chris Christie, 10.9%. The New Jersey governor appeals to both centrists and the GOP base, an unusual feat. But he has said he's not prepared for the presidency, and he can be a loose cannon. Bob McDonnell, 9.9%. The Virginia governor comes from a swing state and he'd boost the ticket's conservative credentials.
