It's a bird, it's a plane ... it's a collision. Or so went an aborted JetBlue flight taking off from New York's Westchester airport last night, reports the New York Post. Two geese plowed into the windshield of the cockpit of the West Palm Beach-bound flight, forcing it to land just seven minutes after takeoff. "We got to come back. We hit two big geese," a pilot radioed. "We are declaring an emergency." "I heard the noise," says one passenger. "It was very loud and the plane had a lot of turbulence. The pilot told us the windshield was cracked."’ She adds helpfully that when she disembarked, "the whole front of it was covered in bird." It's the second time in less than a week that our winged friends have struck a New York flight. (More Westchester stories.)
