The dancers are back and the tops are off again at Paris' famous Crazy Horse cabaret after a successful strike. The club—a favorite with generations of Parisians and tourists—was forced to cancel shows this week for the first time in its 61-year history after its 18 stripping performers demanded a pay hike, Reuters reports.
"It's an exceptional place which has the specialty of presenting a fully naked show," one dancer said. "What's wrong is that we are asked to work 24 days per month for a pay that is worse than miserable." The club says the dancers accepted a 15% pay rise—and a promise that their hard work would be better recognized. (More cabaret stories.)
