It didn't take long for the Boston Celtics to get back in the win column. Paul Pierce scored 15 of his 22 points in the third quarter to lead Boston past the Chicago Bulls 107-82 Friday, AP reports. The Celtics, an NBA best 21-3, lost their first home game Wednesday in the closing seconds to Detroit.
Pierce, who also had seven rebounds, hit all four of his three-pointers in the third quarter as the Celtics pushed their lead to 23. Pierce took the fourth quarter off as did Kevin Garnett. The star forward had 12 points and seven rebounds, but he gave the Boston fans a scare in the first quarter when he was poked in the eye by Chicago's Joakim Noah. (More Boston Celtics stories.)
