A series of "sophisticated attacks" near the central Nigerian town of Jos has left 37 people dead, including two police officers, reports the AP. Thirteen villages, which one advocate says were all Christian, were hit by fighting for several hours yesterday, and several homes were burned. The attack was reportedly led by about 100 Fulani herdsmen, 21 of whom were killed in the fighting. (More Nigeria stories.)
