Hey, Obama-haters: If his rep says Entertainment Tonight and the New York Times are "equally important," it must be so. That was Deputy Campaign Manager Stephanie Cutter's response to criticism that President Obama is ducking real reporters in favor of so-called "soft" media. "I don't think that they're more important, but I think they're equally important," Cutter said on State of the Union.
"I think that’s where a lot of Americans get their news," she added. "And I think the president’s going to continue doing that.” The Huffington Post notes that Obama hasn't taken formal questions from White House journalists in two months, but Cutter says he has been chatting with reporters on the campaign trail.
