After a hearing today to determine whether a religious freedom law could allow the suspected Fort Hood shooter to keep his beard—which violates Army regulations—a military judge found that the defense couldn't prove Hasan is growing the beard for reasons related to his Muslim faith, and ordered that Hasan shave it or else be forcibly shaved.
