Arnold Schwarzenegger continued his mea culpa/tour de publicity today, telling Meet the Press that he's not looking for forgiveness, "But let me tell you, if the people are angry with me, I deserve that." "I know there was a major screw up. I've hurt my wife, I've hurt the kids. I take the responsibility and I will do everything that I can," he said, according to Politico. Asked about a return to politics, the onetime Governator predictably replied, "I don't see that in front of me."
Schwarzenegger was, however, happy to delve into politics and made a spirited defense of bipartisanship, citing his experience in California. "I learned first hand that the only action is when both parties come together," he said, adding that politicians must see themselves as a "public servant rather than a party servant."
