Malala Yousufzai, the 14-year-old Pakistani girl shot by the Taliban for campaigning for education for girls, has been sent to Britain for treatment, the Pakistani military says. Malala, who is in stable condition but still unconscious, flew out of Pakistan this morning, reports the AP. The military says she will need intensive "neuro rehabilitation" after bones in her skull are repaired. The United Arab Emirates paid for the air ambulance being used to transport the girl to the UK.
