France to Arrest Pap Who Snapped Kate Pics: Report

Fallout from the Kate Middleton topless photo debacle continues: French police are about to arrest the paparazzo who took the pictures, sources claim. The photographer’s name has been given to investigators, and he’s “expected to be held for questioning imminently,” a source tells the Mirror. Police had been trying to figure out his identity since Prince William filed a criminal complaint over the alleged breach of privacy, but the editor of the magazine that published the photos refused to give it up, as is allowed under French law. If found guilty, the snapper could face up to one year in jail and nearly $60,000 in fines.

“William and Kate are determined to bring the person who took those photos to justice and they’re pushing hard for a custodial sentence,” says a royal source. “They want to make an example of this person.”
