A Halloween party went horribly wrong in Madrid last night, leaving three young women dead and two more in serious condition, reports El Pais. An exploding firecracker around 4am at a crowded electronic music party reportedly caused a stampede. Two women were found dead at the scene, while another died soon after arriving at the hospital. The arena was authorized for up to 10,600 people; although organizers said it was not sold out, police are investigating whether capacity and safety regulations were followed. (More Spain stories.)
