Holder Will Stay, but Just for a Year

Attorney General Eric Holder will stay on into President Obama's second term, as the president has asked him to do, but a senior administration official tells Fox News Holder will remain in his position only "for about a year." Obama wants to avoid a mass exodus, and a number of other members of his administration are already planning to leave as he starts his second term. The Wall Street Journal reported earlier this week that Holder would stay, but did not say for how long.

As for who will replace him when he does eventually leave, the names being tossed around are Massachusetts Gov. Deval Patrick, Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano, and senators Amy Klobuchar of Minnesota and Richard Blumenthal of Connecticut. (More Eric Holder stories.)
