A trio of thieves nearly got away with robbing a convenience store in Colombia when their getaway donkey ruined everything, the Telegraph reports. The three had managed to steal tuna, sardines, rum, rice, and oil from a little shop in the town of Juan de Acosta when the donkey's braying alerted police. The thieves quickly abandoned their stolen goods—already loaded on 10-year-old Xavi—and ran off into the night. Police detained the donkey, which had also been stolen, for about 12 hours until the owner showed up to take him home.
