The White House Correspondents' Association has chosen Conan O'Brien as the featured act for its annual dinner on April 27. Jimmy Kimmel hosted last year's dinner and got decent reviews for treading the tricky line of getting yuks without going too far. This is the event in which the president himself gets to play stand-up comedian, and at least one columnist wishes it would just go away.
