2 Killed in in Midwest Snowstorm

A Midwest snowstorm has pounded the region, leaving record snowfall in some areas and hundreds of flights canceled, CNN reports. Two people were killed amid several road accidents, the AP reports. Kansas was hit hardest, with 9 inches at the Kansas City Airport arriving in a single day—nearly double the previous record, prompting its closure yesterday. Wichita, meanwhile, was hit with 14.2 inches, and northern Oklahoma saw 13. "If you don't have to get out, just really, please, don't do it," said Kansas Gov. Sam Brownback.
