Student I Was Sleeping With Tried to Extort Me: Teacher

Kathanna Culp, a former high school teacher, went to the principal for help when a student allegedly attempted to extort her in order to stop her from breaking off their illicit relationship. But it backfired on Culp when she was fired and then charged with having an improper relationship with a student, the Houston Chronicle reports. Culp spoke to the principal in December and he alerted authorities. The teen has since graduated.

He told authorities he had sex numerous times with Culp, 29, while he was a student and she a teacher; he also claimed he lived at her apartment, where she had parties and gave him and his friends marijuana, off and on from April to November.
