A second suspect has been arrested in the New Orleans shooting that injured 20 people at a parade on Mother's Day. Shawn Scott, 24, was nabbed today, said police Chief Ronal Serpas. He is the brother of 19-year-old Akein Scott, who was arrested last night in the shooting. Both face 20 counts of attempted second-degree murder. Authorities think the shooting was gang related, with the intended target being a 35-year-old member of a rival gang who was among those shot, reports the Times-Picayune.

Besides the Scotts, Serpas said police arrested four people who are accused of helping Akein Scott elude capture. Serpas said their charges are being accessories after the fact to attempted second-degree murder and obstruction of justice. They range in age from 19 to 32, he said. Three of the shooting victims remain in critical condition. (More New Orleans stories.)
