(AP Photo/Ed Betz) (Associated Press) Boston finished off a home-and-home sweep of New York with a 3-1 victory at Madison Square Garden today. The Bruins cashed in on their limited number of scoring chances despite being outshot 31-20. Goalie Tim Thomas was solid while moving his team into seventh place in the Eastern Conference. Chuck Kobasew, Glen Metropolit and Phil Kessel tallied for Boston. Turnovers by Rangers defensemen led to two of Boston's goals. Kobasew's goal was especially tough for the home fans as it came short-handed late in a first period owned by New York. The Garden crowd booed the Blueshirts, who lost 4-3 on Saturday, and even chanted 'Let's go Giants!' New York's Brandon Dubinksy ruined Thomas' shutout with 43 seconds left.
