Columbus scored three third-period goals and rallied to defeat the Dallas Stars 4-2. Blue Jackets rookie Kris Russell scored the tie-breaking goal on a power play; Russell scored his first NHL goal earlier in the second period. Pascal Leclaire had 26 saves for Columbus. The loss snapped Dallas’ three-game winning streak, reports AP. Elsewhere in the NHL:

  • Dan Ellis stopped all 39 shots he faced and led the Predators to a 4-0 victory over the Avalanche. Martin Erat had two goals for Nashville, who have won three straight.
  • Josh Harding had 35 saves for Minnesota but it wasn’t enough as the Wild fell 2-1 to the Flames. The win moves Calgary past Minnesota for first place in the Northwest division.
