Seymour Hersh: Bin Laden Story 'One Big Lie'

Veteran investigative journalist Seymour Hersh got people's attention today with a comment made in passing during a wide-ranging Guardian interview. Amidst a rant on the media's general unwillingness to hold President Obama accountable, Hersh touched on the death of Osama bin Laden. "Nothing's been done about that story, it's one big lie, not one word of it is true," the Pulitzer Prize winner said.

He didn't elaborate, but said there would be a chapter about the killing in his upcoming book on national security. He also said that a recent Pakistani report on the death was "bulls---," and "was done with considerable American input." Hersh also spoke at length about the media's failings in general.
