Rob Ford's Latest Transgression: Seat Stealer

Another week, another Rob Ford dust-up: The embattled Toronto mayor attended a Buffalo Bills-Atlanta Falcons game at Toronto's Rogers Centre last night, where he showed up after kickoff then promptly stole Matt Mays' seat, according to none other than Matt Mays. The musician tells the National Post that he headed to his aisle seat 35 rows from the action when "The poor usher guy was like, 'dude, I don’t really know what to tell you right now—Mayor Rob Ford is in your seat, bro,'" says Mays. This being 2013, Mays promptly started tweeting about it.

Mays ultimately got his seat back, but not before a crush of fans was done attempting to get to Ford for a photo. ("You’re not going down for pictures," the Post overheard an usher saying repeatedly.) When Ford eventually did get up around halftime, surrounded by nearly a dozen police and stadium guards, he exited as you would expect: posing for photos as his assistant handed out fridge magnets declaring, "Rob Ford—Mayor." It's unclear where he was during the second half; Mays, for his part, was in his seat. (More Rob Ford stories.)
