Crime | Megan Huntsman Mom Confesses to Smothering Babies Except for one that she says was stillborn By Kevin Spak Posted Apr 14, 2014 4:05 PM CDT Copied A unidentified person walks through the front yard of the house where seven infant bodies were discovered and packaged in separate containers at a home in Pleasant Grove, Utah, April 14, 2014. (AP Photo/Rick Bowmer) Megan Huntsman has confessed to strangling or smothering six of the seven dead babies found hidden in her garage, according to an affidavit released today. She says the seventh child was stillborn. The 39-year-old said she'd given birth to the children between 1996 and 2006. Each time she would immediately kill the child, wrap it in a shirt or towel, put it in a plastic bag, and then a cardboard box, the Salt Lake Tribune reports. Huntsman appeared in court by video today, as a judge set her bail at $6 million, cash-only. Huntsman just blinked. "That's fine," she said, seemingly emotionless. A county attorney said the sum was justified "because this is a heinous, horrible crime." The youngest of Huntsman's three living daughters would have been born in the middle of her baby-killing spree. All three daughters still live in the house, which according to a neighbor is owned by their grandparents on their father's side. Read These Next White House rolls with Trump's 'daddy' nickname.
