Limbaugh bemoaned his party's lack of "genuine conservative leadership," but was at least optimistic that he'll have plenty to rail against in years to come, he told Time magazine's Jay Carney. Limbaugh also made clear his polemics aren't geared toward swaying voters, but rather "attracting new sponsors" and widening his audience, pointing out that talk radio is "show biz, too." In a final jab at McCain, he added: "I don't view myself as having to defend my president if he's in my party. That's not my job."
