Apparently thinking her partner was flying off, a woman climbed over a Canadian airport's barbed-wire fence to stop a plane from departing, police say. Turns out her partner wasn't flying at all, according to police; for her part, the woman was "apprehended very quickly," says an officer. Control tower workers noticed the woman right after she jumped the approximately 10-foot fence at Canada's Halifax Stanfield International Airport, which is "not an easy thing to scale," an airport rep tells the Canadian Press. "She was nowhere near" the planes, the officer adds, per CNN. A small plane's taxi path, however, was altered for safety. The woman is being examined by doctors; she won't face charges, police say.
