The Cleveland Cavaliers are answering LeBron James’ prayers: ESPN sources say three-way trades will bring four new faces to the team, including the Chicago Bulls’ Ben Wallace and the Seattle Supersonics’ Wally Szczerbiak. The Bulls will grab four Cavs, including Drew Gooden and Larry Hughes, while the SuperSonics take on Cavs Ira Newble and Donyell Marshall plus Bull Adrian Griffin.
Cavs Cedric Simmons and Shannon Brown also come on board with the Bulls, while Cleveland takes Delonte West from Seattle and Joe Smith from Chicago, to be joined later by a Bulls second-round draft pick. The swap, pending official sanction, just beats today’s deadline. Kudos to the Cavs? “It's debatable,” says the Wizards Insider, “but at least it's something different.” (More NBA stories.)
