Seattle never had a chance to get close to the Lakers in last night's 111-91 loss, not even once Kobe Bryant had left the game on his second technical foul. Bryant had pulled together 21 points and 10 assists when he got the first whistle in the third quarter for arguing a no-call. The second followed soon after, the Los Angeles Times reports.

With Bryant gone, the Sonics got within 19 points but soon fell even farther back again. Rookie star Kevin Durant had a tough night, totaling 15 points after missing each of his field goals in the first half. Mickael Gelabale scored a team-high 21 points off the bench, no match for the 22 of Laker Pau Gasol and 19 from Lamar Odom. (More NBA stories.)
