Chris Paul scored 23 points and dished an eye-popping 18 assists as the New Orleans Hornets topped the Atlanta Hawks 116-101. The Hornets set a franchise record with 15 3-pointers; seven of them came from Peja Stojakovic, who led all scorers with 29 points. Joe Johnson had 24 points and Mike Bibby had 21 for Atlanta, reports the Associated Press. Elsewhere in the Association:

  • The Memphis Grizzlies got a season-high 25 points from Hakim Warrick and snapped their losing streak at 9 games with a 100-93 win over New Jersey. Richard Jefferson led the Nets with 22 points.
  • Charlie Villanueva scored 32 points and grabbed 11 rebounds as the Milwaukee Bucks defeated the Seattle SuperSonics 118-06. Kevin Durant scored 23 in the loss.
