Though some Mexicans are buying pinatas in his likeness specifically so they can bash his head in, Donald Trump says that Latinos love him. That's exactly what he said yesterday, while ferrying reporters around his 18-hole golf course in Virginia: "Latinos love Trump." He made the comment as a way of pushing back against criticism over other recent comments he's made, like saying we need a "great wall" because Mexico is sending criminals across the border. "I do great with Latino voters," he said when questioned about the backlash, according to Fox News.
He continues: "I employ so many Latinos. I have so many people working for me. I'm a job creator. I create jobs. I'm a master job creator. No politician knows how to create jobs. They're all talk, they're no action. They don't know what they're doing. And you know, the Latinos love Trump and I love them." Somehow, a new poll out of New Hampshire has Trump in second place at 11%, behind Jeb Bush (14%) in the GOP field, CNN reports. "I'm not thrilled, 'cause how could Bush be in first place?" Trump said last night. "This guy can't negotiate his way out of a paper bag!" (Meanwhile, none of the candidates can catch Darth Vader.)
