"El Chapo" is back in custody. Mexico has recaptured fugitive drug lord Joaquin Guzman seven months after he escaped from a maximum security prison. "Mission accomplished," declared Mexico President Enrique Pena Nieto in a tweet. The capture reportedly followed a shootout in Los Mochis, located in his home state of Sinaloa. The Mexican Navy said in a statement that marines acting on a tip raided a home in the town before dawn. They were fired on from inside the structure, with five suspects killed and six others arrested. Guzman's escape last year involved an elaborate tunnel.
