US / selfie Disney Roller Coaster Closed by Selfie Stick Incident on same coaster led to selfie stick ban By Arden Dier, Newser Staff Posted May 3, 2016 8:03 AM CDT Copied Visitors walk through the entrance to the Disney California Adventure theme park in Anaheim, Calif. (AP Photo/Jae C. Hong) Why pay for a photo of yourself on the California Screamin' roller coaster at Disney California Adventure when you could snap your own selfie? That was apparently the logic of a visitor on Monday, who forced the ride to close for two hours after pulling out a selfie stick that had been slipped past security. Selfie sticks were outlawed at all Disney parks last June after someone pulled one out on the same coaster, reports the Orange County Register. Officials say no one was injured.
